Just a quick question, to do with my newfound access to this area - should I be expecting to be moved up a floor, or will I be remaining where I am? Really, I'm perfectly content either way, but clearly defined lines and all that.

I realize I'm simply an adjunct (though I'm certainly not opposed to a change in that status, whatever work might be necessary on my part to achieve such, since I'm finding teaching to be surprisingly enjoyable), so the move may not be necessary, but I wanted to make sure so I can let my roommate know one way or another.

We're on this floor to keep an eye on things, in theory. Kind of like RAs. That's why I usually post where I am on my door. It's not ego, it's just so the kids could find me if they needed. It's also why I'm available after classes until dinner, either in my room or the commons. You could put in for a transfer to a suite. There's openings in my room and Piotr's. (Anyone bringing up the co-ed sharing issue will be smacked into this century with a trout -- unless it's the Professor, in which case it will be a polite explanation of changing values, my track record as a relatively responsible young adult, and vague references to trouts and what the date really is.)
