Status report

I think this is where I say "Demons? Again?"

Wanda called for help when the demon - large, hostile, and apparently after Amanda, rather than Illyana - arrived at the club, but it all happened a little too quickly for a response from us. We got the injured back here, then everyone else, and then helped the local emergency services people as we could. Civilian injuries were pretty minor. The kids did a good job evacuating everyone.

We do have injured students, but they're a combination of 'minor', 'half-fixed already', and 'will be up and around after a good night's sleep'. Manuel de la Rocha is probably the worst-off, but Amanda managed a healing spell and Madelyn tells me he should make a full recovery.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go smack my little brother upside the head. Tactical thinking does apparently not run in the family.

Edit: People? Go to bed. Alone. With a partner of your choice. With multiple partners of your choice - I leave it entirely up to you. But we don't need the staff dragging themselves around like zombies tomorrow when the kids need... well, whatever the kids decide to need tomorrow. And whoever left the extra Halloween candy out? I don't know whether to curse you or bless you.

..sooo, everyone is all right, either at the medlab or wandering about the mansion, crowd control is done and generally there's nothing needed to be done by anyone who isn't already doing it?

This seems to be a month for demons. I wish I had been on hand for this one; at least no one was permanently hurt.

Updating the medical situation and envying all tucked in their nice warm beds right now. With or without extra Arms...

Manuel has broken ribs, and suffered some pretty major internal injuries. Amanda's managed to pull him well and truly out of danger - I've never seen anything like it, and I doubt the EMT guys who saw her do it have either. He'll be with us for a little while, hard to say how long with magic involved.

Amanda is currently passed out, given the scope of the healing she did. She's also got some nasty gouges along one side - the demon getting grabby, I suppose - which were messy rather than serious. She lost a bit of blood, but we've put that back in. Her friend Bethany is staying with her - we couldn't pry her away, actually. Moira called her folks and told them a cliff notes version of the story and they've agreed that her staying her tonight is the best thing. They'll be by to pick her up in the morning, so it might be an idea for someone responsible-looking to deal with any questions. After asking Beth how much they know of Amanda's situation, of course.

Jubilee and Clarice are both sleeping off power overloads. Jubilee has some puncture wounds to the shoulder from the claws again, and Clarice has some bumps and bruises from falling from the rafters after stretching her teleporting limits. Someone might want to talk to her about finding safe places to 'port from next time. Apparently it was Jubilee who made the demon go boom (her words, not mine), and there's also some confusion about her summoning it. I'm thinking of that email she sent Pete, is anyone else?

Alex will have some residual deafness and ringing in his ears for a few days, but nothing permanent.

Everyone else is fine. Various degrees of tired, some cuts and scrapes, but pretty calm so far. Leonard's been alerted as already mentioned.

Oh, now this is just rubbing it in...

I just checked on Amanda, and she and Beth are curled up together like a couple of kittens. It's horribly cute.

Think I'll go chat to Foley. *humphs*
