Update

I managed to send Alex back to his room last night without drawing the attention of Lorna's parents; his physical recovery requires only rest, and from the tenor of Mr. Dane's conversation I thought it best to defer introductions to a more felicitous moment.

Lorna is stable, for now; the skin grafts have taken well, and I have her in one of the clean rooms. The worst danger at the moment is that the shock will cause her body to simply give up; I am monitoring the situation very carefully, and doing what I can, but Lorna's ultimate fate is now almost entirely in her own hands.

Her room has a viewing window, and she is therefore admirably equipped to receive visitors at one remove, as it were. I'll be notifying the students to that effect.

Moira, could I trouble you to spell me at the monitors for a few hours? I find myself in rather desperate need of a bath. Thank you in advance.

As a point of order, the next new student that thinks I'm here to carry their bags, fix their breakfast, or do their laundry will have more than their luggage launched into the lake. If they can't get it through their heads that it doesn't work that way here, maybe someone needs to take a look at drumming some discipline into the little shitheads.
