All right...
I spoke to Amanda this morning and got what details she was able to give me. It's not much, given what she was drugged with, but in this case I don't think the fine details are as significant as the consequences.
She and Manuel attended a function at the Hellfire Club last night. While they were there, Selene and Alphonso de la Rocha apparently decided to... alter Manuel, somehow. This seems to have involved rewriting his mind, as Madelyn said in her last post. Charles will be working with him, of course, and we'll keep the staff updated on his condition. Amanda wasn't clear on what part she had in their plan; she recalls speaking to Alphonso and believes that he was the one who drugged her. She doesn't recall being assaulted.
I'm going to have to wait until Dr. Strange has weighed in on exactly what happened, I think, before we have a clear idea of how Amanda got the two of them out of there and whether there will be any consequences. Something similar to what happened during the attack at Columbia seems to have taken place, the body-jumping for lack of a better word - their link at work again - and she managed to drain enough power from Selene to teleport them out of there and back here.
That's all I've got for now. Obviously we're going to be looking into this further, to see if we can figure out why Selene and de la Rocha did this and what to expect now.
The one thing I'd ask is that you all exercise discretion with the students. I have no intention of announcing any of this on the journals. If they ask, Manuel and Amanda were in an accident and are being seen to. Once Manuel's condition is a little more stable we'll obviously have to say something further, but the constant stream of 'So and so have managed to mangle themselves in such and such a way' is getting increasingly unproductive, as far as I'm concerned.
