I'm heading to Israel tonight - liable to be gone for a few days at least. I'll probably be in and out a fair bit over the next couple of weeks. Got a conference coming up in DC, plus a possible trip. To Mongolia. Yes, I know. But there's a limit to how much trouble I can find in the Gobi Desert, so you can all shut up.

In fact, yes, I think I will make sure I wind up in the Gobi desert. Where there's no such thing as an internet connection. Would be infinitely preferable to reading some of the crap that takes place on these journals lately.

Scott says I'm not allowed onto the journal system until I've stopped swearing under my breath every time I go to log in. I say he doesn't get to say that, and I don't think he's willing to try and enforce the rule.

Spouses are a pain in the ass. Mine tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to go to Mongolia. Over the phone, no less.

I'm going to be good an not point out how she's completely correct and you shouldn't be walking into the middle of a desert with no easily accessible medical attention while recovering from a concussion when you're prone to complications.

Because point out a thing like that will do no good.
