Why the hell did he have to take my class? I did something particularly appalling in a previous life, didn't I? And this is my punishment.

I give him a C and I'm conspiring against him. I give him an A and I'm conspiring against him. I think I have finally hit upon the ultimate no-win scenario.

I'm sitting here trying to write another riddle and I keep spontaneously writing 'DIEMANUELDIE'. This is probably a bad sign, no?

I was speaking with Clarice earlier, and she would like to form a fencing team, in order to enter tournaments.

She and Manuel are the only students proficient enough with European forms of fencing to enter this year, but she would like the two of them to be put forward for the female and male events respectively, at some local tournament, and perhaps with training Shiro and a few others might be ready to enter next year.

Could she and Manuel have permission to compete this year?
