I was speaking with Clarice earlier, and she would like to form a fencing team, in order to enter tournaments.

She and Manuel are the only students proficient enough with European forms of fencing to enter this year, but she would like the two of them to be put forward for the female and male events respectively, at some local tournament, and perhaps with training Shiro and a few others might be ready to enter next year.

Could she and Manuel have permission to compete this year?

We'll have to check on restrictions involving mutants. However, fencing seems like an excellent place to start some form of integration.

I think so. I have not heard of any official restrictions on mutants competing, but of course, I have never sought to enter myself.
