Namor, Sue and Tandy

Heads up to all staff.

On their way home from Italy the girls were kidnapped by the same demons who kidnapped Tandy earlier. Namor picked up while in the city and teleported to Italy.

Tandy was possessed by the demon responsible for the chaos in New York. Luckily Amanda was able to drive out the demon and put an end to the situation.

Physically the kids are all ok, just banged up with some cuts and bruises, mentally I don't think it's been such a clean bill of health. They were withdrawn and moody last night when I met them. I think it's a good idea for us to just an eye on the kids over the next few days just so we can be sure they're alright after their experience. We all know how much this can affect someone.

Notice to staff

As of today we have a new student at the school. Tyrone Johnson.

He's the student who arrived with Tandy last night. There was a problem with him being chased but the two of them seem to have evaded his pursuers. We've decided to offer him a place at the school, and for the time being he seems safe. However it would be in everyone's best interests if we kept our eyes open in-case his pursuers start to close in on him again.

If anyone requires more information then Ill be in my office all day.

Hope Abbott

Has anyone else had any problems with Hope? She's been ghosting out a lot in my chemistry classes, I've had to stop her from doing any experiments since it's too dangerous if she were to collapse in the middle of one.

Artie

I wanted to let everyone know that in response to his little adventure yesterday I've assigned Artie to help with the cleaning in the kitchen for the next three weeks.

All right...

Did Tabitha say anything to any of you as to why she might have decided to get the hell out of Dodge with no warning? Charles has done some scanning of the area and can't find any trace of her. Her suite's not showing any signs that she packed to go wherever she went, which has me worried...

Our 'visitor'.

I know rumors have gotten around at this point, and all I can really tell you for sure is that the Professor and Jean have verified that he's telling the truth, or at least honestly believes that he is. He's behaved himself thus far, and according to them quite honestly has no hostile intentions, so we've just got to sort out what help, if any, we can or should give.

If anyone notes Angelica acting oddly, let Jean or Charles know?

All right.

Does anyone have any theories? Whatever this is doesn't seem to be harmful (except to various people's pride). I think Charles or one of the other telepaths would have noticed by now if there was a telepath playing a nasty joke on the mansion.

Volunteers required.

I need a couple of people willing to go pick up a new student in Portland. (I would go, but clearly my wife has gone insane and given her track record, I think it's best I stay here.) You can stop in at Charles's office for further details - apparently the girl manifested and her parents had the grand idea of keeping her in the basement for six months to see if she "got better".

Hadn't had a chance to announce this yet...

... what with everything else that's been going on, but Crystal Amaquelin is going to be joining us as a staff member this fall. She's expressed an interest in powers training - which she's well-suited to do, given her own experience - and in flight training, as well. (I may have done a "Yes! *fist-pump*" or two at the latter, I will admit.)

She'll likely be back in Westchester this weekend. I've got some paperwork and the like to do, to get things set up for her, but I thought you should all know to expect a new but familiar face in the staff room.

New student.

She'll be a bit late for the new term, but Noriko Kikuchi will be joining us from Japan tomorrow. I'll pick her up at the airport; I needed to run into the city for a couple of things anyway, and I do like to meet the new ones first. There's a possibility that she will need some fairly extensive help with her English, but I've already had some thoughts about that.

Off for a bit.

I'm catching the late flight to Portugal tonight, to see if I can't talk Pietro into coming back. I'll have my phone and my communicator, in case anything comes up - I know it's not great timing, what with Ororo off to Tanzania, but I'm just going to be there for long enough to grab him by the scruff of the neck and drag him back to the plane. I hope.

Just to let you all know.

Forge's parents are here today for a meeting with Charles. I expect they'll be in with him for some time, but I didn't want anyone to be unprepared to meet them in the halls.

All right.

Reactions to our missing trio are obviously taking hold among the students - anyone noticing anything needing attention? The ones who really need to talk are rarely the ones who do, after all.

Illyana Rasputin

Some of you may notice her in the halls looking more than a little bruised. Suffice to say she's had some adventures this week. She had left us a note saying she'd be away for a bit doing some "thinking"; not an ideal situation, but when a telepathically unreadable intercontinental teleporter decides she's skipping out for a few days there's not much to be done.

Unfortunately, she wound up getting herself into a fair amount of trouble. She wasn't badly hurt, thankfully; Amelia's checked her over, and the bruises will all heal. I'd rather not go into the details in this forum, but suffice to say that the situation has been dealt with, as much as is possible, and we're going to do what we can to help her deal with the consequences. I know I'm being oblique, but the nature of the situation demands it.

If any of you have any concerns, feel free to speak to myself, Ororo, or Charles.

So here's the thing...

I'm well-aware of the fact that our jobs occasionally drive us to drink. Heaven knows I've been driven there myself, more than once, although it's for that very reason that I've been watching myself more carefully on that front.

The problem is that we've not been particularly discreet about it lately. To clarify: I have no trouble at all with anyone going down to Harry's and blowing off some steam, and certainly, what you do with your own time off-campus is your own business. I'd just prefer we keep it off the journals a little better than we have been lately.

Like it or not, we are role models. When our underage students start chatting happily about their adventures with alcohol on the journals, we need to mind what we say. They see us do it and they think it's acceptable for them - and it's not.

...

So, Forge's plane is in. I'm off to pick him up. At the police station.

Maybe don't wait up, Jean.

All right.

I think we're gradually getting the situation as under-control as mass sudden comas can be. Charles and the doctors are all conscious and investigating what's going on, so that's one blessing.

I know we've got a couple of staff down - what are the rest of you doing?

Situation resolved.

The girl's been found, and is safely back inside, unhurt. Thank you, everyone, for responding as quickly and effectively as you did. We'll get an update on her condition as soon as it's available, I'm guessing.

Just an update...

... in case you're getting questions, which I suppose is more likely now that we've started term and people are going to be noticing that Jennie isn't here. Unfortunately, we still don't have any idea where she is. Charles is continuing to tap every contact that he has, and Sean is still talking to his old Interpol friends. They're still looking into it over at Snow Valley, too; I understand Wanda in particular is following up on a few things and may have more details for us soon.

I wish there was more to tell you. Hopefully there will be, sooner rather than later. If you run into any students who appear particularly anxious, send them to myself or Charles or Ororo if you think that's necessary.

I think all is in readiness...

Finalized class lists, syllabi, and schedules are in everyone's inboxes, with paper copies in your mailboxes down in the staff room for good measure. The annual reports on anything you need to know about the students - medical, psychological, etc - are also included. The files on some of our newest students aren't as complete as I'd like, but we're flexible. I'm sure we can fill in the blanks on the fly.

If anyone's textbooks are missing at this point, I don't want to hear about it. Seriously, hit Amazon or something.
