... what with everything else that's been going on, but Crystal Amaquelin is going to be joining us as a staff member this fall. She's expressed an interest in powers training - which she's well-suited to do, given her own experience - and in flight training, as well. (I may have done a "Yes! *fist-pump*" or two at the latter, I will admit.)

She'll likely be back in Westchester this weekend. I've got some paperwork and the like to do, to get things set up for her, but I thought you should all know to expect a new but familiar face in the staff room.

Wait, she's actually going to have a job here? By no means do I doubt her qualifications (in fact, I will personally vouch for them) or her desire -- but she's willingly coming back here and getting a job?

Like I said, I'll vouch for her capability and her maturity, Logan. She's more than the sixteen-year-old who lashed out and threw you across the gym with a sudden gale or set my workshop on fire in a moment of pique. Two-plus years having responsibility suddenly set on your shoulders would try anyone's abilities, and she weathered it. Not to mention that with Sam gone and Shiro busy with his own schooling, we do need a skilled Flight instructor and she's exceptionally skilled.

Maybe she's grown up a little. Maybe not.
