but what the FUCK is going on here? Commandos coming in to shoot up the place, god knows how many kids down in the infirmary, a couple bodies on slabs in the medlab - and I know at least two of them were put there by students - I mean, holy shit! This is what, twice in one year? Who the hell were these people, and what the hell did they want?

For starters, the security system on this mansion's more expensive than anything I've seen in my life. How the fuck did they get in without a billion alarms going off? And up to the third floor with GUNS? I've been doing a walkaround since the whole thing quieted down, and I can't find an obvious point of entry anywhere. No windows broken except the two in the foyer that were blown out from gunfire inside the house. I mean, did none of the super-brains hear them coming?

Chuck - when Bill Stryker showed up, he just wanted you. Far as I can tell, he didn't kill anyone. These sons of bitches were stone cold assassins, ready to double-tap any of these kids to get what they wanted. Who the hell have you pissed off that these people come into my home, guns blazing?

So while you guys get to figuring out the who and the why, I did a damage report on my walkthrough. The fire was pretty limited, except for putting that one kid in the infirmary. The entire carpet's going to have to go, along with the floorboards and moulding in that area. Wiring's pretty fried there, too, so that's going to have to be torn out and replaced. A few bulletholes in walls that can be spackled, and some destroyed furniture. On the second floor, the old staircase to the basement's trashed, I'm going to have that walled up securely, and sealed off from the basement level. I'll get started on all that once I get back from Salem Center this afternoon.

And since I see the front lawn completely devoid of police cars, ambulances, or federal marshals - it's safe to assume we're keeping this little invasion to ourselves? Can't say I disagree, what with the press this place has received. I'm not envious for those who're going to be dealing with the kids' parents after they write home about this.
