Someone make sure that those emails never get back to Betsy. Someone, preferably, take it down. Now.

Elisabeth has been retrieved safely, and is resting in the medlab. She will likely be in a fragile state for some time, but she is, I am happy to report, well and safe.

It would seem that for the past few months, Elisabeth has been under the control of a psychic entity who called herself "Kwannon," whose presence may, I think, confidently be attributed to some aftereffect--whether intentional or accidental, we may never know--of her recent surgery. The full tale of Kwannon's deeds during the masquerade . . . is too much to relate just now; it is my great shame that I did not discover the ruse sooner. Everything "Elisabeth" has done since late January, in fact, and possibly for some time before, should instead be attributed to her tormentor, who Elisabeth fought to the very limit of her will.

You may all, however, rest confident that Kwannon is no longer a threat; she has been caged until Elisabeth regains her strength and we may seek more permanent solutions. Scott, may I rely on you to spread the news to the students tomorrow? I'm afraid I may sleep rather late.

Lastly, Emma, we need to speak as soon as possible; it would seem that Kwannon enlisted Manuel's aid, on at least one occasion, to keep Elisabeth under control. I suspect, given the nature of his powers, that his . . . willingness . . . was coerced; she would not have been a healthy template for him to mirror, to say the very least. I would like to discuss strategies for training him out of that tendency, if it can be done.

As you are aware, she is not currently on campus. I've left a brief summary in your mailboxes of her situation as we know it, at this point.

I will be posting a warning in [livejournal.com profile] x_journal after this, making sure everyone is aware of the potential danger.

If anyone hears from her or comes in contact with her, please inform either me or the Professor, as soon as possible. While we are considering her dangerous, it is my firm belief (as outlined in the summary) that Betsy is still in there somewhere. She may not hesitate to use deadly force. We should not be using deadly force. Containment only.

Betsy, or whomever may be in charge of her form at the moment, is no longer on the school grounds, as far as I can tell. However, I am asking all staff to begin a standard search of the house immediately. You know your roles.

It pains me to say this but at this point, Betsy is a threat to the house and the children in it. She is to be stopped by force if necessary.

To the end of protecting the children while we sweep the house, we will run a standard fire drill. Alison, Scott, you are in charge of this event. Children will assemble in the dining hall following the drill for head counts and disperse to their rooms once each floor is cleared.

I know that we can sweep this house in a matter of minutes, staff. Please be your usual efficient selves in this and the children will be none the wiser.

URGENT!!

Betsy (although I don't think it's Betsy right now, but that's beside the point) has slipped her restraints and checked herself out. Apparently what would be a proper dosage of sedative for her is no longer quite the proper dosage. But that is rather beside the point. In brief, She's loose, and she's not herself, and I believe that she is, in fact, dangerous. Or rather, whoever (whatever?) has laid hands on the reins is. It's complicated, but I recommend we retrieve her, STAT. And we can expect she won't go quietly, so extreme caution should be taken. In fact, for the duration, consider her, I'm sad to say, a dangerous mutant. I'm going to be down here in medlab trying to make enough sense of the test results to have some sort of plan by the time we get her back here, though I suspect this may be beyond something so simple as medicine.

I thought I was imagining things...all apart of the recovery process. Stress.

Oh god, what did he do to me?
