(I realize I'm not...well, staff like the rest of you lot, but Henry did set this up so I could easily talk to those of you who -are- staff.)

As most of you know, I'm Dr. Moira MacTaggart and I've been staying at the mansion a few days. The reason being that my own lovely government has decided to turn my precious Muir Island Research Facility on it's ear. I have currently lost a majority of my technology as it has been deemed "illegal". *snort*

I'm a geneticist and a therapist for mutants, illegal my middle-age Scottish ass.

I'll be speaking to Charles about this eventually but I need to get a feel for how the teachers feel about this.

Dr. Rory Campbell (my associate and coworker who is watching over Muir for me) and I cannot shut down Muir Island without some help. There's a lot of equipment that they didn't get their grubby little hands on and it needs to be shut down, after we pull the data safely from it, and put into lock down until I can find a way to reverse their decision.

I think this would be a good trip for the students, to see another country and to see what Muir Island really does (well...can speculate on what Muir Island really does, since it's -missing- most of the stuff I would like to show them). I'm already taking Rahne, the lass has expressed a desire not only to help but I think she's a wee bit homesick, so I'll be taking her home for a brief visit as well. If any of the teachers would like to join me (and yes, I will talk to Charles about this as soon as I find him), I'd be most grateful.

Besides, apparently your government's been up to no good either...comparing what cross-ocean governments are doing may not be a bad strategy.

...bloody hell it's hot here....
