Amanda's just emailed me, along with a few others. Apparently the amulet that's used to reign in the her addicition got broken in an accident. A new one is being made but they're looking at a few weeks time before it actually gets here. I'm going to list a wide list of symptoms to be on the look out for, though most may not appear.
Withdrawal symptoms may include:
* Feeling of jumpiness or nervousness
* Feeling of shakiness
* Anxiety
* Irritability or easily excited
* Emotional volatility, rapid emotional changes
* Depression
* Fatigue
* Difficulty with thinking clearly
* Bad dreams
Mild to moderate physical symptoms:
* Headache - general, pulsating
* Sweating, especially the palms of the hands or the face
* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Loss of appetite
* Insomnia, sleeping difficulty
* Paleness
* Rapid heart rate (palpitations)
* Eyes, pupils different size (enlarged, dilated pupils)
* Skin, clammy
* Abnormal movements
o Tremor of the hands
o Involuntary, abnormal movements of the eyelids
Severe symptoms:
* A state of confusion and hallucinations (visual) -- known as delirium tremens
* Agitation
* Fever
* Convulsions
* "Black outs" -- when the person forgets what happened during the drinking episode
If anything looks severe enough, please page MedStaff. I'm hoping I'm just being too paranoid about this but forewarned is forearmed. (...that's still a stupid saying.)
