...that I didn’t think was necessary to share with the students – Yvette’s mom struck me as a really concerned mother and was very overprotective of Yvette. She was a bit suspicious of us, but seemed convinced of our good intentions by the time we separated. Haller and I answered her questions about the school and I’m hopeful that she is strongly considering the school to help Yvette learn control. The professor has smoothed over things with Kosovo’s child protective services and the new area she’s living in doesn’t seem to have the same negative sentiment as her old neighborhood, but they’re still trying to figure out exactly how she got from the orphanage to the slaver’s hands.
