While I am bothered and concerned by the behavior of Jared Corbo, both on the recent journal post of the new student, Matt Murdock, and on previous occasions, I do not agree this is something with which the entire school staff should be involved in regards to a punishment. Mr. Corbo is neither a student nor a member of the staff. This is a school, but it is also home to people who are not actually a part of the school itself. It is our responsibility to look out for the safety and welfare of the students, but it is not up to us to hand out punishment to people who call this place home.

Does the situation need to be dealt with? Yes, I believe that it does. However, a discussion of this nature is not one that should be handled by a teacher. Professor Xavier is aware of what has happened, and I trust that he will speak Jared about his improper actions towards others. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable and threatened in his or her own home, and a new student should never be greeted in such a way.
