Fashion emergency!

Now accepting suggestions and advice regarding what to wear to this evening's little talk show taping tête-à-tête. Do we like the blue with red stripes, or the red with blue stripes? Decisions, decisions.

In all seriousness, though, if anyone has any last-minute points to make sure I mention, now would be a good time to throw them in my general direction. Or lob them, rather, gently. Same goes for anything to pass on to Emma and Betsy, as I too have heard the rumour that they might be showing their lovely, lovely faces at Shaw's party following. Good times for all! ...Though this means I'll have to pack a tuxedo. Bother.

It's a good thing I don't get nervous when they turn on the cameras. My palms would sweat, and then where would we be?

From what Jean has told me, stripes on camera are rarely ever good. But you should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, so that you can be relaxed.

As for what to say - you know what needs to be said. Just don't let the media spin your words for you. At least it will be live so that they can't cut and edit it to fit their whims.

Given that the last time I bought a tie was circa 1987, stripes may be all we have to go with at present. Ah, the sad, strange life of a fashion victim.

It'll be live the first time, but subsequent airings will undoubtedly be submitted to the hack-and-slash job of the American media, burning away my priceless rainforest of words in order to grow grass to feed mere cattle. At least I'm too cynical to be surprised anymore. Still, if one shot's all I have, then one shot's all I'll need.
