Why is there such a call for concern on Miles' behalf?

Isn't this becoming a bit overdramaticized? Perhaps the result of natural motherly instincts being pushed to their extreme?

Off the top of my head, I can think of a couple of agencies and at least one research program that would be interested in getting hold someone with the blanket ability to supress mutant gifts, if they heard about him.

Overdramatic? Maybe, but in the current climate, I'd we were that then take needless risks...

I understand that. But, I highly doubt that any of the students will take whatever happens here to the outside world. There is an unspoken law amongst us to keep the silence, to protect our own. And unless, we have a spy in our midst, they will not find out about Miles.

I am not questioning her judgment. I am only curious as to what may have spurred this sudden concern.

Some of the kids don't know about past events or won't realize the implications of Miles power fully.

You're breeding an environment of fear for the child. He's rarely out of your reach, if ever. And, I doubt that anyone would think such behavior a preventive measure.

Do what you will, he is your ward.

My, you're being pointed tonight. Miles has already lived in an "environment of fear", thank you very much, and you can rest quite assured that this has nothing to do with it. He's starting to feel confident enough to go out on his own, and that's his choice and his progress to make - which he is doing, much faster than any child who's lived what he has might do.

And you're right. He is my ward. If that's all you can find to say about the whole thing, then kindly do me a favor and from now on keep your opinions on the matter to yourself.
