Well, I've sat down with Amanda. She and I are going to be leaving here sometime next month - we've got open tickets back to London. Romany's making arrangements to stick her in a very, very intensive crash course in magical responsibility, so we'll leave when she's got everything set over there and we'll be back when Romany judges that we can trust her not to cock up like that again. In the meantime, she's going to sit down with Samson as often as he and Charlie think she needs to.

She left me looking like the world was falling down about her, so maybe, just maybe she's got the message. So, now I've been the bad cop, I'm looking for a volunteer to be the good cop, just so she knows that not everyone here is completely insensitive to the fact that, stupid as she may have been, it's not *entirely* her fault.

On which note: who's going to deal with Ramsey?

And with that, I'm going to go downstairs and do violence upon something.

Er.

Pardon me, if I'm asking something incredibly obvious, but, what the hell did she do this time?

A what? Turning people into frogs, now love potions? I think this falls under the category of "Freaky Woo-Woo Shit" here.

And if you ask me, not as if half these kids needed any prodding in that area. You do NOT want to know what that blockage in the pipes was yesterday. While it's good some of these little fuckers (literally, hah!) are using protection, some things ain't meant to be flushed.

Nice to have most of the details of what happened. Thank you, Pete. It's vaguely comforting to know it wasn't just me, for some extremely minute value of vague. I haven't been able to bring myself to read the journals. Am not even supposed to be reading this one, really, but I needed to make sure my classes were covered.

Can you please make sure someone picks up my classes? The door to my room is locked but Mr. Marko should have the master key, of course, so the notes can be found. I don't want the children disrupted just because my head is a mess. It's not their fault.

Thanks, Pete. Logan's told me that Professor Xavier said he'd make sure they were covered and I don't remember that conversation at all so I don't know what's going on at the moment. Yet another thing out of my hands. I didn't handle any of this gracefully, I'm sure.

...and I really need to go lie down now. Thanks for taking care of things.

Doug, it may surprise you to know, would not have done this on purpose. He doesn't have the lack of moral fiber that sort of thing would require. It was therefore an accident.

...

And if I talk to her, I'd... at the very least yell a lot right now, for even making the damn thing in the first place, never mind actually handing it out. And it wouldn't be good by any stretch of the imagination. Truly best I not go there. Not sure who to recommend to you from whoever apparently wasn't affected by all this.

...

I may need to laser a door to pieces soon too, from the look of things.

If you still need a Good Cop, I'm up for it. I don't know that I'll be as effective as some of the older, more experienced staff here, but..

Well, from a psychological standpoint, it's a fascinating study of the changing trends in human nature.

Hordes of females crowding one lone male, in the hopes of procreation, yet he flees from opportunity. Truly, from a objective viewpoint, it's an interesting development. As most men are quite willing to 'stick it' whenever they can.

Hell, with half the girls here, lord KNOWS where they've been. Ramsey's probably just got a good self-preservation instinct.

Sorry, Cain. But if you expect me to believe in the likelihood of any teenage male, mind you, any hormonally-charge teenage male rejecting any young lady at this school. Well, let's say that I'm still speechless at Mr. Ramsey's restraint.

After talking to the kid, I still hardly believe it myself. Someone along the way drilled a sense of decency into that kid - and a damn good one. If he didn't fold like a Frenchman in front of a cap gun every time someone raised their voice at him, he might even make something of himself.
