She knew what she was doing. This wasn't something done in panic, although it's clear to me that she didn't stop to think about the possibility of one or both of the babies being down there - she was flustered when I brought it up and didn't cover well.

There's nothing defensive about her attitude; I only wish there was. But she believes she did the right thing, and that we're only objecting because it's Remy and we don't value his life.

I don't know what to say.

Except that I think she should be expelled, as soon as we find someplace safe to send her. Back to Romany would be my suggestion.

All right.

We've heard from most of you, either in one of the posts here or face-to-face. There's some ambivalence on the subject, I know.

But the simple fact is that, based on Nathan's conversation with Amanda, we cannot trust her not to do this again. Banning her from the medlab only works when she allows herself to be banned. Something's happened to this young woman's moral compass - I think in some ways we've failed her, while in other ways she's definitely failed herself - and she is too powerful to be allowed to stay when we can't trust her to make appropriate choices as to what to do with that power.

Charles will be speaking to Romany. I'll be going to speak with Amanda in person as soon as I finish this post, and Alison I believe will be making a general announcement as to what's been decided once Amanda's been told in person.

We've got incoming student. One Marius Laverne, apparently related to our beloved Monet, her--their--father faxed me some of Marius' medical reports. I'm honestly not sure what we've got going here, the reports a little bit muddled. I don't know if THEY know what they've got, either. But apparently he's rather undernourished and just developed a physical sign of his mutation. Considering the fact that Monet is a mutant, it looks like they quickly decided to send him to us.

(Why they didn't catch the x-gene in the tests is beyond me. Bloody incompetant doctors.)

He'll be incoming shortly, so I'll prep the rooms. Since this doesn't look like a medical emergancy, I'll handle initial check in, especially with an unknown mutant power.

Cut Amanda's access to the journals for 24 hours. Right now.
