One day people around this place will learn that Sleep Deprivation Is Stupid. Like I did.

Jean's been working herself to the bone with Paige - she's sleeping now, and will probably well into tomorrow. Charles will be covering the work with Paige - Kylun, Alison? I know she trusts you two and feels more comfortable with you. Help would be appreciated since I don't want to upset her by barging in.

And no, I didn't use the tranq gun this time. Or the sleeping tablets in her coffee. Stop looking at me like that.

And another doctor falls prey to the overwork... for such an intelligent group of people, we sure can be dumb sometimes, can't we? I'll have to come down and talk to her when she's awake, to remind her of all the very sensible things she told me last time I did this.

And I should have noticed this. New babies play *havoc* with the noticing... and the sleeping, and the eating, and the dating... Med-school didn't rearrange my life as much as one tiny scrap of humanity apparently can.

I'll bring him down to the Medlab tomorrow. I'd like to be there when Jean wakes up, if it doesn't happen while I'm sleeping.

Are you sure you're getting enough sleep yourself, Hank? Don't think I didn't see you passed out in the staff kitchen down here the other day. Moira and I don't want to have two unconscious doctors and a baby on our hands.

I am sleeping, my dear, I promise you. I'm just doing it in a lot of little chunks. Something several of the books told me - and which has proved to be strikingly accurate - is that the best way to keep up on my sleep is to nap whenever he does. And since getting up and moving might wake him up, I've found myself doing it wherever he does, as well.

I had a nice half-hour's nap in a hallway yesterday. There was a finally-sleeping baby and a comfortable chair.... *g*
