A heads-up...

I'm about to log onto the main journal and post something that Marie-Ange and I wrote together. It is lengthy, rather bitter in places - joint bitterness, I'm afraid - and may or may not cause something of a stir. I'll do my best to handle any problems or negative reactions that might result, but this is something that badly needed doing. Probably needed doing months ago, but I'm hoping you'll understand why neither of us were really keen on the idea. Now that someone's nearly gotten himself killed believing he understood what he didn't, though, the need to do it now is critical.

The man who shot Doug during the blood drive wasn't really aiming to get him. Or Rahne for that matter. You see, he would be the reason I came here in the first place. He's the sniper who tried to kill me after I came out as a mutant, over a year ago.

The man responsible for the attack at the blood drive earlier today was apprehended by Haroun and I and taken to the police, who I believe will be turning him over to the FBI if they have not already done so. I understand he was wanted for more crimes than this, so it can safely be said he will not be a problem again.

I will be making myself as available as I can to the children tonight and in the next few days, to reassure them and answer their questions as best I can, and I am sure so will the Professor and many of you.

Madelyn, are there any updates on Doug's condition?

EDIT: We may have a problem of some kind. It would seem Doug knew in advance what was to happen, in some way connected to Marie-Ange's visions, and was sure enough of it to send out e-mails in the event of his death. I think someone will have to talk with Mr. Ramsey when he is well enough.
