I've been going out and plotting out some flight training routes but I'm a little concerned about the lack of daytime training space. Nightflights are not such a concern and it's not that far from here to the coast, really. I'm also not finding class notes. Does Monet St Croix fly or is she a levitator?

What are our restrictions in terms of airspace around here? I've been spoiled with unlimited access to military airspace during my time with Alphaflight.

We're sort of fouled by the big NYC airports. So low and slow might be the word of the day, unless we can schedule some flight plans with the FAA and pretend like our rambunctious kiddies are charter planes or something.

We've got that big forest out back, and ducking trees is usually good experience for the little darlings.

I think Monet's a true flier, but I am not 100% sure. I think we need to pull her record and read up on her.

That's why I keep low, at night, and go via hydrocuts and farms to get out to the coast. Once I'm a few miles out, I can go all I want. Sadly, I don't think the kids can keep my speed. Hm. Maybe we should talk to a few of the locals? What do you think?

A game of follow-the-leader, where we step up the speed each time we play, might not be bad.

But as far as daytime flight stuff goes - I'm thinking that out over the Atlantic is our best bet.

Kinda pooches our natural-flight types, though. They're _never_ going to keep up with the powered-flight guys. Of course, we can always do a class for just them on finding thermals and soaring.

Thermals, piggybacking, slingshot boosts; we can get them up to speed if their bodies can take it. We should slap our power flyers in gliders for fun. I rather like hang-gliding. Everyone needs to know the air.

Classtimes are an issue. In theory, we're supposed to be doing something in the week, right? We can go over a certain amount of dynamics and skills in the week, but we would be best with a large block of time, a minimum of four hours at a go. Stamina is going to be an issue for some at first, but we'll work on it.

Are we going to go over anything other than the straight flight? I'm used to training for offense, defense, transport... a lot of facets. What are we sticking to? Are we going to be teaching evasive maneuvers for SAMs here?

Well, I don't think our class budget extends as far as Stingers. Ask Xavier.

I say we start 'em with the absolute basics, see how far we can push them from there. We can separate from there into those who are ready to do box canyon runs, and those who need work on the fundamentals.

Sound fair?

They're not that expensive. We could pick a few up... but.

Sounds good to me. I just want to keep an eye on what we're really teaching here. I'm not used to being part of the conventional educational system. We can settle for a Kiki's Delivery Service level of training, or we can be aiming higher.

There's a time and a place for Kiki's, and then there's a time and a place for ducking Stingers.

We can definitely sim them in the Danger Room - from classic ack-ack all the way up to Stinger-style defenses.

Heck, for the younger kids, we can recreate the Star Wars trench run if we have to.

I'll make sure to steer clear of Jetstream-alpha-four. Definitely. If there's any strange anomaly with the logs tomorrow that suggests otherwise... I was testing things for the students.
