I'm looking up a Tai Chi school in the area, maybe even trying to find my old sifu so I can get around to trying to pass my student-teacher test. Also, I'll be taking out some of the kids interested in Tai Chi to regular classes with me, since there's no way I can work around teaching them myself if we're doing this long term. I'm Not Allowed. Yet.

Still, either way, I've got that lot covered.

But.

I'm sure there are others among the kids who might not mind taking up a particular Martial Art that isn't related to the self-defense classes we teach as part of the curriculum or Tai Chi.

So - any suggestions as to a form of Martial Art which might suit one student better than another? Cause while I'm at it I can do a blitz and find out about schools in the area that teach those too and suggest that to the kids. Or we can arrange something here at the school for them.

Well? As Aurora might say, chop chop people!

Edit : ...I'm just going to find a nice wall to beat my head on now. Yep.

When the technique was invented, that is precisely what they did. Continuing to use the old name is simply a matter of respect toward the inventors.

Seems like its a waste of time to have to re-learn how to say "Kick someone's ass" in ancient mandarian when I can just as easily say it in English.
